1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using The Realm Gate (therealmgate.com), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use our platform.
2. What We Offer
The Realm Gate is a community platform for tabletop roleplaying game enthusiasts. We provide tools for organizing game sessions, community chat, AI-assisted game mastering tools, and a community donation system.
3. User Conduct
You agree to use The Realm Gate respectfully and in accordance with community standards. Prohibited conduct includes: harassment or abuse of other community members, posting illegal or harmful content, attempting to gain unauthorized access to platform systems, and impersonating other users or staff.
4. Dungeon Master Accounts
DM accounts are created and managed by platform moderators. DMs agree to run sessions in good faith, maintain professional conduct, and provide accurate availability information on the game board.
5. Donations and the Mana System
Donations made through The Realm Gate are voluntary community contributions processed via PayPal. Donations are used to fund platform operating costs including AI tools, server infrastructure, and development. Donations are non-refundable except where required by law. Revenue sharing with Dungeon Masters is handled at the platform operator's discretion.
6. AI-Generated Content
The Realm Gate uses OpenAI's API to generate creative content for game sessions. AI-generated content is provided as a creative aid only. We do not guarantee accuracy, appropriateness, or fitness for any purpose. AI tools are accessible to Dungeon Masters, Moderators, and Administrators only.
7. Intellectual Property
The Realm Gate name, logo, and original platform content are property of the platform operators. User-generated content (chat messages, session posts) remains the property of the user. We do not claim ownership of any tabletop RPG intellectual property referenced on this platform.
8. Privacy
Your use of The Realm Gate is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Realm Gate is provided 'as is' without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, error-free operation, or that the platform will meet your specific requirements.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, The Realm Gate and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform.
11. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
